It’s a Big day with many wonderful events for Chungli toastmasters club on July 17th 2015. Our TME, Oscar Liu, is so talented because he hosted the meeting very well even this was his first time. The meeting included the interesting variety session: millionaire, professional officer duty reports for the coming year, beautiful previous president, Kate Chiu, delivering a speech as a forever partner, great event-matching table topic questions ---about leadership. We also happily had six guests with us this evening. Apart from that, Ron Hwang and Faylinn Su immediately decided to be our members even before the meeting started.

At the beginning, our new and fresh president, Nai-Ling Liu, gave us the moral encouragement, THREE WISHES--- for Chungli Club ---1We are happy . 2We are progressing . 3. We enjoy servicing and helping people. YA! This is a supportive and helpful place to enrich your life and make your dream come true.

Speaking of the variety session, we played a game was about millionaire—The King of Knowledge. Jason prepared many knowledgeable questions. Everybody enjoyed himself/ herself in the game so much. We truly not only learn English here but also broaden our horizons. How about try it again here......

We will do our best to maintain the meeting quality, come to the meeting earlier, help print the meeting agenda, collect the guest’s admission fee and personal information. Feel free to ask if you have any question.

Treasurer---Vicky Chang

Being a treasurer is a treasure thing. My job is to manage the club’s back account, collect the membership fee and pay it to the headquarters. I also keep the financial records up to date. Recently, we had some donations from GP liao, Nai-Ling Liu, Kate Chiu and Jason Lin. Now here our balance is 17,587 NTD. Please pay the fee on time, otherwise you might not be eligible for speech contest, education awards and club recognition in the Distinguished Club Program. Being a wonderful team, let’s try our best!

Secretary---Scott Wen

Scott Wen was a treasurer and VPE. He has done a lot of work for club. Secretary needs to maintain all club records, manage club files, handle club and take the minutes at each club and executive committee meeting. You can check the google drive for more details.

VPPR (vice president public relations)---Helen Ding/ Jason Lin

We are now in this field and we will do our best. We promote the club and update web content, including facebook and blog. There will be an outing held next month on 8/15(). Come and have fun with us!

VPM(vice president membership)---David Chang/ Oscar Lin

Guests will be our treasure. We’ll invite more guests to join the club and make sure all guests feel warm. Keep track of guests who have not joined and members who have not been attending meetings and follow up with them to encourage them to join. Hope our team will grow bigger and better.

VPE(vice president education)---Richard Shen/ Diego Huang/ Linlin Cheng/ Ilona Chuang

Richard used restaurant as a metaphor to explain the role of VPE. The job of VPE schedule members’ speeches and projects and serve education awards, speech contests and the mentor program.

For the part of Kate’s speech, she , as usual, gave us more to learn from her. Her speech was about how to give positive feedbacks. How to do it powerful? Three easy ways to remember the important tips--- 3Bs –

Be specific— Where they’ve done well? Be positive—Do it in a constructive way. Be timely— Do not wait! Say it at the time!

We usually have exciting moment for each meeting time---table topics. Our master of this session today was Helen who did a great job to hold this part fun with many kinds of questions about leadership’s goals.

We had many speakers been chosen, such as: Jason-lose 10 kilograms; Griffy-build up his company persistently, Ron- to achieve his goal by practice, practice, practice to be able to communicate with his 2-month-old US granddaughter; Linlin-lucky to have her family and friends to make her dream to Spain come true, Derek- add some new goals, like learning English, knowing more people, and passing the exam; Mark-encounter the process to the goal is the learning cap, but now make progress a lot.

If we’d like to make real progress, we truly need some good advice, just like Kate said- 3Bs-be specific, positive and timely. Therefore, we need IEs for each speaker below.

Bernie Hsieh for Kate Chiu—
