Wow! Summer is coming. Tonight, our meeting theme is Summer Vacation.
Our Toastmaster of the Evening tonight is Vichy Chang. A well-prepared TME by introducing all assignment takers with a picture showing what is her/his plan in this summer.
Chungli Toastmasters Club has been more than 2 years that never hold a joke session in our meeting. But today, we are different. Eddie holds the joke session to warm (cold?) up tonight. Eddie starts an example of “cold” joke talking about Einstein and Mr. Bean. Then Nai-ling talks about “sleep earlier”. Richard talks about “but”. Kate talks about “tape”. Vicky talks about “ABCDEFG”. Jason talks about “粽葉”. Our welcome guest JT talks about “fluent English”. Don’t be sad if you don’t understand any of above. The only thing you need to do is come to our next meeting. All of them are willing to tell you the joke again.
For 3 prepared speakers tonight, Kenneth, who is going to work out very hard this summer, talks from his childhood life. It’s a great way to introduce by letting us know from his family. A borrowed happiness but will never borrow from others now.
Richard, a fast growing speaker, is going to finish his CC this summer. He defines happiness in the beginning of his speech. Then he gives us a true story happening on him turning from unhappy to happy. The 3 to-be-happy steps is find a team, commit yourself and be a team player. We all persuaded by his fantastic speech and one of the guests pay the member fee to join Chungli Toastmasters very soon.
Nai-ling, who also want to exercise more during summer time this year, give us her A20 speeches. Wow! Nai-ling is a very natural speaker who is very good at storytelling. An ugly girl does not mean she deserve to have an ugly life. Though her early life is not smooth, but fortunately, her second husband have a beautiful life with her.
Wendy echo with tonight’s meeting theme and ask us about summer vacation as a table topic master. Kevin Lin won the best table topic speaker by saying visiting Europe including red-light-district if there no budget limit. What a great way to celebrate summer.
Mell Hsieh, VIP from Taoyuan Toastmasters Club acts as general evaluator tonight.
