What a happy meeting we had last Friday night !

ChungLi Toastmasters was established in August 1 , 1993.  We are sixteen years old. > <  We are nineteenth TM in Taiwan.
 

 
Our headquater is in America. In October, the
non-profit organization celebrated 85 years of helping people improve their communication and leakership skills providing where millions of man and women have taken
steps toward better lives.
 
What  happened in the  meeting on April 23, 2010? Let's summarize it.
 

 
The first part of toastmaster of the evening was Orson, congratulate him first for he will be the EMBA student of YZU very soon. good boy !
His performancfe of serving as TME was  indescribable, he always can interact with audience very naturly. Bravo!
 

Second part's TME was Sunday, she arrived lately. just like Julian mantioned that before, laughter,,,,,,,but it has a lot for improvement.
 
people should be put on the right position. yes, cheers !
Our new blood Dranking was in charge of keep track of the time. and professional speaker Jeff was ah counter. They both did their duty well .
We had five parts on that night. Inclouding the exciting moment-Induction Ceremony for welcome our Best new member -Bonnie Lo and Tri member -Gary Chen.
From now on, Gary Chen is belong to NTOU, NCU and ChungLi three clubs.
Later on, our Best Session Master- Emily prepared creative Varity Session was funny and carzy. Bravo !

 
Table Topics Session , we had the most 年輕有為. 內外兼俱的 president of NCU-Oxford 來擔任. 他臨時想的題目讓台下某位不具名人士聽的是皮皮挫.
但來自YZU的Michelle 和 president Julia 以及Bonnie 可都有讚不絕口的表現呢!   Bravo !
 
Let's move on Speech and Evaluation Moment.
C1: Kate, 台風穩健. 真情流露. 又一枚新勢力即將在中壢誕生.....Bravo!     Iris 身兼妳的Mentor and Evaluator, 也給予極高度的肯定喔!
C8: Our Best speaker was president James, no doubt, 咱的president 這次是有備而來. How do you think of Perfect Retirement? 演說的同時.
      James 也讓我們知道了很難相信的事實. 生育率降低. 連萬華年代久遠的老松國小學生數都從10000人變成788人了.
      唉呦真憂心! Chad & Amy, Albert & Eunice 你們要加油阿!      Evaluator Orson 這回出馬not only 出一張嘴. but also gave James useful proposal.
A9: Kevin Lin from NCU. 何德何能. we can have VIP speaker Kevin visit our club and gave a speeh. He is going to get ACB award and he is try very hard to do so.
      That's  waht we should learn.    Best evaluator -Albert was also gave feedback in his point of view. Bravo !
GE-Julian 非常流暢的發表對本次meeting 的 feeling 和對日後 meeting 的期望. 我們的Julian 可是越來越有大將之风了呢! what's more ?
      Please speake English in the meeting. Yes sir !

 Toastmasters 的年度盛會. 包括了每年的春季與秋季大會. 這一次.
吸引了近700位memebers前往.我們的收穫可是滿滿的呢! 
 
 
美食.精采的國台與英文一系列的比賽更讓我們見識到好多好多優秀會員們的驚人實力.她們都是我們的最佳典範.
Div. E 的陣容龐大. 其中以NCU 參與的18人稱冠. Iris 姐姐和Sunday 姐姐的閨房一下子差點變成了轟PA場地了.不過他們真的是有夠可愛. Oxford平常在會議裡是
President . 外出馬上就變保母了.

YZU, Taoyuan and HsinChu 的sister club 也有好多人參與. 當大家的心團結在一起為 Jeff and Johnny 喝采時.
那種感動實在是要你親身體驗才了解...
 
不然你就問問  Iris, Sunday, Orson, Louis, Henson, Jeff, Roy 和剛加入的 Gary Chen 囉!

First of all , in order to have a successful meeting. We have two helper. That are Timer~Eunice and Ah-Counter~who is also the 親善大使 of 中原 university-Emily to help us. The life and soul of the meeting was the prepared speech champion of In-House Contest-Albert.
 
"We, Kate Tsai and Drinking Huang, in the persence of our fellow members of the ChungLi Toastmasters Club, make this firm obligatio:
to attend meeting regularly and prepare fully for each assignment;
to apply myself to the program outlined in the Toastmasters manuals;
to participate actively in club activities;
to evaluate others in a positive, consturctive manner;
to build open, friendly relationships with our fellow members;
to bring other new members into the club so that they can also gain the benefits of Toastmasters."
 
Yes, we got two new blood Kate and Drinking on that night. The small ceremony present our high welcome for them.
 
Iris and Sunday were the Master of Varity Session. We had a exciting game - Supporting Line(支援前線) to warmed up the whole meeting.
 
For Prepare Speech Session: president James bought us a speech named "High-heels" with the sound performance that provided by
Emily, that made us more involve with his speech. The speech "Powerful Weapon " was delivered by Orson , do you know what his Powerful Weapon is? That is mouth. Yes, "出一張嘴" can also make you powerful. By contrast , without mouth, how can we communicate with others?  At the same meeting , we had two high quality Demo speakers -Albert and Jeff,
 
After eating cake and intermission, The most creative Session-Table Topics Seesion was conducted by talented Diana. She
prepared a box of tissue paper to let Julia, Joie, Chad and Orson made a response in front of us. All of them were also had a amazing
reaction. That's quite good.
 
For Evaluation Session, our VIP guest dancing queen - Hecate , Chad and Louis also gave speakers and the whole meeting consturctive
suggestion.
 
Speaking of the guests on that night. Drinking 也很有義氣的帶了兩位 guests Freda who is from Taoyuan and Emma who is from Taichung to vist us. Jeff's cusin Frank Jiang, Bonnie, Dofy and Peggy from 中原 university. Besides, we would like to show our highly appreciate to Michelle, Gary and the president of YZU - Julia, and members from YZU's Brain, Kevin, Joie and Leeann.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Hey hey! What a good news for us that We have a new blood-beautiful kate Tsai(掌聲加尖叫). It’s a good beginning of the year of Tiger! YA! Let’s welcome her ><

 

On Friday.Feb, 26. 2010, A funny and full of laughing meeting has made in Chung-Li TM. The joke king－ teacher Jeff Tsai 獻出了他的第一次. That was being the TME .在其幽默輕鬆介紹下以及each member互道恭喜後展開了年後的first meeting. It was so exciting.

 

Our Varity Session Master－shining star Orson,準備了很多interesting questions and sweet chocolates,回答對的members,人人有獎! 最美麗的人妻Amy回答了三次,終於得到了她的最愛（此時此刻指的是chocolate不是Chad喔！）

 

Let’s highlight the prepare speech session: 圓圓的“大嬸”katie 拿個紅包袋給 Eunice 做為speech的開場, 沒料到lovely Eunice answered “no money in it” 引起哄堂大笑! 甜姐兒Iris以自身的體驗,告訴我們magic power is form the heart. Yes, Iris! 加油! 我們在妳身上看見了滿滿的衝勁喔! 少女殺手Albert告訴我們要做任何事, Attitude is the most important thing(好書推薦:態度決定你的高度).要樂在工作,精彩的speech讓大家聽的意猶未盡！續篇續篇!

貼心的Henson特別準備了精緻的禮物-red underwear,當場穿在Orson身上,實在太太太帥了……………哈哈哈!

 

 

史上最感性婚禮的新郎得主－帥哥Chad was the Table Topics Master, 富有創意的問題考驗大家機智,

而Eunice professional 的表現也讓我們著實嚇了一跳,實在太精彩了!

咱門火辣的secretary Emily 有 personal coach-James, 想必Albert 也是教導有方喔!

How about Evaluator Team? 由好人緣的陽光男人Henson,最適合當爸爸.老公的男人Julian

以及全國最認真最美麗的人妻Amy組成,對 all speakers提出犀利.精闢的suggestion! 也讓我們學到不少ㄡ.

Being Toastmaster 就是這ㄇ幸福.

 

年後的first meeting 在歡笑聲度過,大家不要忘了下次的In house contest!

  The first meeting in 2010 was in a freezing night wihch conducted by the most outstanding TM- Louis Fu (可聽過加拿大最著名的露易斯湖?) Have you ever seen the movie "2012" ?  You had better prepare more speaches for delivery due to we still have 2 years to live.(Louis 如是說...博君一笑).
In the begining , we assign the hotest secretary Emily as Joke Session Master, she tried very hard for telling us jokes that she parepared,,,,最精采的是...還沒開始講Emily本人就開始笑到東倒西歪. so the best joke teller 就這ㄇ拱手讓給穩坐Joke King 第一寶座的 teahcer Jeff Tsai 了.....
 

 
The meeting尚未進行到一半.高潮馬上就來了...Prepare Speech Session 本次邀請到兩王一后-President James Lee(C6: Why people close their eyes when they kiss?), Following president Julian Lee(A2: TM housekeeper ) Eunice(C2-What did I learn) ..身為看倌的我們是聽的如痴如醉ㄚ! 正當筆者在回憶我的初吻時. the best speaker James 也爲本篇speech下了完美註解....When you kiss, just enjoy the kiss and save the time.
 

 
雙冠王Albert as Table Topics Master this time,,富創意又考驗大家機智的 impromptu speech果真贏得滿堂采.接續豋場的  guest Sylvia, Jeff, our friend forever Jade and Henson , both them were good at making story, wow, we also felt 心跳加速 while they speaking.
 
Judge Team conduted by 史上最感性婚禮的新郎得主-Chad 率領旗下 Jade, Henson and 史上最感性婚禮的新娘得主Amy 共同provided their feedbacks to all speaker.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!  How lucky we were! The final meeting of ChungLi Toastmasters Club in 2009 was in the Christmas Night. What a coincidence! So many 稀客 from all Div. E came to visit us, 還有攜家帶眷的.
Believe it or not, we had a most warmly Christmas that we have never had.
 
 
 
First of all, let's introduce the whole meeting agenda briefly, Albert Wu, who is the spirit of ChungLi TM, he had ever company with us got through the most difficult period. On the special night, he was not only TME, but also surving as evaluator of the speaker named Bod, who is from sisters club YZU .  As usual, There are 4  main part in our meeting. Including Joke Session,  Prepare Speech Session, Table Topics Session and Evaluation Session. 

計畫永遠趕不上變化..How to say it? 目珠金金(台語發音)看著牆上的鐘已經七點了. 卻因為christmas 造成大夥都還在路上塞.  later, 一連串的驚喜接二連三上映...Lola(Taoyuan) suddendly show up with the yummy cake. thank you Lola><, Lola is a role model that we should all respect her, because of our Joke Session Master Jade couldn't attend the meeting in time, Lola 馬上二話不說就當了第一位fire-fighter,  沒多久. Carl (NCU) also became our second fire-fighter for serving as Timer. 感謝天.感謝地. 感謝有Lola and Carl.

Let’s recalling the wonderful clips of 28^th August’s meeting.

 

初次豋場,acting-president James was so free and easy. More specifically, he has a sexy and pretty secretary-Emily beside him. Wow, the special good benefit only James has.

 

Say yes, is more meaningful in Toastmasters. Iris is the best example. A week before the meeting. She made a very courageous decision that is being a TME in the upcoming meeting. She kick-off the meeting for us. Proven facts, Iris made a right decision. Furthermore, she won the Best Session Master. We should learn from her attitude- “Yes to Victory”.

 

Diana warms the meeting by conducted the Joke Session. Thanks for Amy, Jeff, Katie, Henson and Sunday’s contribution telling the joke.

 

 

What a coincidence! The key subject of Jamie Hsu and Orson Hsu both were “health”.

The Best Speaker-Orson, delivered his C8 speech-The Crystal Ball very successful. Pronunciation was very clear, body language was quite good, also, he use visual aids to enhance audience attention.

 

“Brush your teeth well, your gums will be healthy, and you will reduce disease more effectively.” Jamie just like a fascinating professional doctor delivered her speech. I couldn’t take my eyes off her.

 

The speech of Albert’s was very attractive! He had interact with audience during his speech, all in all, his performance was mesmerizing.

 

Thomas: You really did a good job. More self-confidence, more smiles, that’s big progress. Keep going!

 

 

After the break, We turn to Table Topics Session.

Katie, who is always full of enthusiasm and energy, prepared several questions working our brain. Summarized as follows~

 

Q1: If your parents don’t like your boyfriend, what will you do?

Q2: If you can make a cosmetic surgery, what part of your body

    that you will do first?

Q3: Your girlfriend and you are in the elevator. Suddenly, she farts in 

    Front of other people, what is your reaction?

Q4: If there are no law and moral values in the world, what evil

    Things do you want to try?

Q5: If you are a superman, what will you do?

Q6: If you want to tattoo, where and what pattern will you choose?

  

We are very appreciate Jade, Roy, Frank, Henson and Hecate provided us very creative answers. For Q6, if someone oversee that Hecate has a 精忠報國tattooed on her back. Don’t fuss. That’s her willing to. What a cool answer! That’s why she got the best topics teller.

 

 

To mention that Evaluation Session. Our GE-Henson, was so generous that offered his telephone number to us-918300. If you have to find him, you should prepare 300 first. Because-叫ㄧ次三百(台語發音)…

 

Yes, the cold joke was made by Henson.

 

好人好事代表Julian was very attentive on how to evaluate , now his evaluation is more natural.

Frankly speaking, being evaluator is 筆者’s nightmare. But for Chad, it’s a good thing that because he can has a deep understanding of speech. We also like to listen his interesting and informative evaluation.

The best evaluator-Amy: she had an extremely useful suggestion for Albert. It’s the power resources for Albert decide he want to challenge A13 again next time.

Most of speakers, when they find that their evaluator is 人見人愛的Louis, 通常都會聞之色變ㄚ! But this time, Louis really gave constructive suggestions for Orson and won the full house to adopt.

 

Last but not least, ChungLi TM would like to thank all participants and guests, especially for E3 Governor-Hecate, 美如姐, 郭瑞民先生,相見歡president Roy, Frank. Having your attendance, our meeting atmosphere was more harmony.

 

The next regular meeting will be held on September 11^th in the usual meeting room-凡是美. We will also provide spectacular performance for everyone. Come to visit us and have fun. 等你喔><

Toastmasters 的吸引力是無遠弗屆的. Why? Our guests 涵蓋了Yuanlin, NCU and HsinChu.
We deeply appreciated for your attending that made our meeting more warm and more funny.

Acting-president was the shining star of ChungLi-Orson Hsu, he was the best fire fighter,
計劃永遠趕不上變化阿! Sunday 原本自告奮勇要接下當日的acting-president, 誰料到天不從人願.遲到的我.又這ㄇ拜託了Albert,
在最後一刻,我們的正義勇士Orson就這ㄇ給他上了.感恩阿! You have done a excellent job,Orson><
 
自信滿滿.不疾不徐是每回Amy take assignment 所展現的模樣.這回也不例外.
把每個Session 都結合了master的topic做了最適當的介紹.
而且融合了formal, semi-formal and entertaining. 代替小胖老師給妳五分><

 
Katie就像一盞光明燈.有她,就有希望
Due to Ah-counter Eddie couldn’t attend the meeting on time, so the HOT SEAT became our spicy woman-Katie. 
 
Nina prepared her own cursive draft when she being timer. I was seating beside her,
這漂亮清晰又流利的英文草寫真是 attractively.
  

One of the most relaxing moment was Joke session which was conducted by teacher Jeff(還帶了愛心小手呢!).
Oxford, Brad, Amy and Emily donated their jokes, especially Emily prepared visual aids to let us know more easily. what a touching girl.
Thomas is one of the rising stars in ChungLi TM. He is going to deliver the same speech with more power and preparation next time. Practice makes perfect. Cheer up!Thomas.
 
Ryan is talented speaker, he has done a very successful speech again. (Learning form swimming) As Amy said,
it could be better if Ryan delivering the speech with swimming suit. As well as show us his strong muscle. (Ryan emphasized about it)
 
有些事情,你若無身入其境.那爆笑場面是很難體會的…A brief funny interlude has made while Diana was delivering her speech. That’s the phone rings that provided by Oxford’s (背景音樂:哈利路亞.哈利路亞).
It’s a pity that she has been married. you know,我們的Diana不但會烘烤蛋糕餅乾.這次更讓我們大開眼界.
秀了幾個上面有她畫作的瓷盤.讓大家讚嘆不已.簡直是小畫家兼魔術筆. 請讓我們拜妳為師.

 

At 8:10 p.m. We then moved on to Table topic session, which was conducted by baby-sister Brad.

薑是老的辣. Brad 準備的題目不但多樣,口味也很重.連筆者都忍不住捏了一把冷汗. 但我們還意猶未盡.期待下一回.

 

We all got benefits from the shooting star-Chad, as GE, he point out each master,

and gave the prompt feedback immediately.

 

Being evaluator, Iris 越來越老神在在了, it was a great phenomenon. Keep going Iris.

Our shining star Orson provided meaningful suggestion for Ryan.

Justin is one of the person, who is good at body language. From him, you can see young, vivid, and power,

it was our big honor to having him.

 

Albert has also provided informative remarks as LE, remember the pronunciation-audience.

 

It was a wonderful and harmony meeting.

By the way, 我的結論是:ChungLi TM有四位老師可以幫我們開課喔!

 Yes, the first regular meeting of 2009-2910 was done successfully on 24^th July, that because all of you. First of all, Our god brother-Louis Fu, who is always support us when we need. He used World War II(1939~1945)
      as opening while he conducting the TME. It was creative! 
 

President-Hua Hsuan made a theme for us –what do you think of ChungLi TM’s mission?

Katie’s Varity Session  (支援前線Supporting Line) was successfully,

she totally warm up our whole meeting. Cay you imagine that? She even made Jamie dancing in front of us, this kind of team work activity, drive us crazy.

Katie, you really did a good job.

 

It was great that we have new blood –Nina Chen, you know how she keeps her good shape? That’s dancing. She wants to be a aerobic coach in the future, now she is work for clinic.    

James Lee had a good opening in his speech. He mentioned that Positive Thinking- you should be See it, Own it , Solve it and Do it.(SOSD)

 

    

英文流利對TM的 Role Model -Judy Wu來講不算什ㄇ. 遇到什ㄇ刺激讓她每天早上五點起床看法語並且拿到certificate呢?不只是道具齊全. From her speech, 我們知道Judy是不折不扣的以德報怨. Also, we were so surprised and learned one thing, “世界很小,千萬別自以為是ㄚ” !    

Topics Master-Amy asked for Jeff, Iris, Emily, Diana and Orson different kinds of questions, Emily prefer to be Evaluation Contestant. Go to a movie and candle dinner both are ok for Orson dating with his girlfriend. Diana always enjoy what her do.

            

Besides our golden evaluator team. LE-Sunny really gave us an excellent grammar and pronunciation class. 這10分鐘.又再度爲我們當日的meeting掀起另一波高潮. Remember, if you have any problem, go to the TV program first.

 

So many guest and sister club visiting our club, thank you Roy(Cheer) , Marcus , Cecile , Michelle and her one night driver Shawn(NCU),   

Queena, Roger(Taoyuan) , and Gary form NTOU. In addition, Gary would like to join us being a dual member.  What a great news! Thanks all participant, welcome to join our next regular meeting on 8/14, see you><
