We , Chungli Toastmatsers Club has spent a fantastic meeting night on Jan 25, 2013.
What happened on that night , let me share with you,,,,,,,
First of all, we appreciat Gary for being acting president due to president Eddie had busy job on work.
Julian used his humor conducting a very vivid meeting by serving as TME (Toast Master of the Evening.)
In order to keep meetings on track and avoid our bad oral habits. we have
Janet and Emily to be our Timer and Ah-counter.
Kate Chiu is Chungli TM's new star, this time she prepared Varity Seesion and it's succesfully warmed up the
whole meeting room.
There is a saying 好事成雙 in Mandrian . So our prepared Speech Session also contend of two clubs, even
we had two VIP spaker guests called Celia.
C2: The Power of Attraction (5-7 mins) by Celia Chiang from NCU
Last meeting we had new member Phobe delivering her C1 speech (Ice Breaker) , 唱作俱佳的她在結束speech 後, we all gave applause by standing. This time, we also watched a very potential speeker Celia Chiang's speech. She used to be a member of English debate club. Now she is in her grade four at NCU. Her IE Ilona has given a constractive
evaluation.
C10: Just do it (8-10 mins) by president Celia Yun from NCU.
Celia Yun has too many good performance in Div E. This time. She inpired us by using Kevin Lin (林義傑)'s story.
Her opening already arroused all of our attention just like her Indivial Evaluator Lola mentioned. Celia smartly
show a sign in front of us, it's a good interation.
A9: The Roast (3-5 mins) by Sunday Lin from Chungli.
What a fortunate for being Toastmater. We have fifteen A level manuls that we can choose!
Sunday choose "Special Occasion Speeches" and objective is "The Roast". It need to be poke fun, deliver jokes
and humorous stories at a particular individual in a good-natured way. Thanks Louis 大人有大量 , willing to be roasted. Thanks IE (Indivial Evaluator) James feedback. It's always have rooms for better improvement.
A39: The light in darkness (10 mins) by Louis Fu from Chungli.
Louis delivered his A39 (his 49 speechs in Toastmasters , WOW !)."Do you regret ? " By using his personal story in 30 years ago, Louis has skillfully inspired us to achieve our goals and do things that's meangingful.
Better still, we had Alber being his evaluaotr this time. Albert 妙語如珠的運用 "Terrible" and "Awful" to become
an evaluation. 兩人互下戰帖, the results was , both of them got The best speaker & The best evaluator. Congratulations !
Short Intermission followed by Table Topics ,
Session Mater Ellis Fu prepared questions regarding
Chinese Luner New Year for us to speak easely. Guests were so many , unfortunately we didn't invite
all due to the time limit.
GE(Genral Evalutor) Bonnie has lead her goalden team including Ilona Chuang / Lola Jan/ James Lee /
Albert Wu as well as Richard Maud's Language Evaluation.
We had guests inluding Cindy, Scott, Angela, Joey, Dan, Sylvia, Henry Liu introduced by G.P Liaw.
We also had the support from Taoyuan and NCU sisiter clubs.
周五,熱鬧的夜,在我們之中,有人駕車遠從新竹.台中或彰化而來.
有人穿著正式,騎車遠從板橋,觀音或三峽而來.
有人下了班從台北擠在如同沙丁魚的火車上趕回中壢.
每個月兩次的meeting, 會讓我們如此著迷,
應該就是一份感動吧!
